Visa’s plan to launch a digital wallet system in the U.S. and Canada this fall is a step forward in mobile payment and will help us a lot in our marketing of our secure mobile financial services platform. More on Visa plan here.
What I don’t understand is why the hurdles to get great customer adoption is still in the discussion.
- Why “must” the secure element be a microSD card (this NFC solution) or the SIM-card (MNO initiated NFC solutions)? There is other non-dependant ways to do this.
- Why can’t I use the mobile payment solution for all payment situations (I miss online, P2P and man-2-machine in this initiative)?
- And adding an extra fee for using mobile instead of the very well working credit card will not gain the customer adoption..
